Racing Readers is a collaboration between the SFU Surrey–TD Community Engagement Centre and the Surrey School District (SD36). This after-school program seeks to improve the physical, educational and social well-being of elementary-aged students in grades 2–5.

The SFU Surrey-TD CEC is collaborating with S.U.C.C.E.S.S. BC Settlement and Integration Services (BCSIS) to deliver English conversation groups. The groups will support temporary foreign workers, refugee claimants and immigrants who have now become Canadian citizens but may still be facing language barriers.
